The Regional Libraries in Bo, Makeni, and Kenema are key in providing Library and information services that are geared towards promoting the Free Quality Education. During the year under    review, these libraries have been assiduously working in line with Government’s agenda of making learning not only accessible but also affordable with the provision of reading materials for pupils, students and other adult learners to increase their knowledge and performance in all speres of education. The Regional Libraries have Reference Departments, Adult Lending Depart6ments, Children’s Corners, Internet Units, American Corners/shelves and Resource Centers. The Bo Regionals Library made visits to schools, on sensitization to encourage school authorities allow their pupils to participate in Common Wealth Essay Competition which the Sierra Leone Library Board was coordinating. In June 2018.The Sierra Leone Library Board in collaboration with Book Aid international trained twenty – five (25) Head teachers and teachers on the Management and sustainability of the inspiring Readers Project established in five primary schools.
